Jon Santer has been tending and managing bars in San Francisco for the past 7 years. His cocktails have been featured on cocktail lists across the city and in local and international newspapers and periodicals including: The San Francisco Chronicle, 7x7 and the Wall Street Journal.

He is a member of the United States Bartender's Guild San Francisco Chapter and a Tommy's Tequila Master. In 2007 he was named one of the SF Bay Guardian's Bartender's of the Year. He recently returned from a trip to Kentucky to visit, Wild Turkey, Maker's Mark, Buffalo Trace, and Heaven Hill. In addition to bartending and teaching at the Beverage Academy he writes the bi-monthly column The Keeper for and contributes to the United States Bartender's Guild quarterly newsletter.
